Eucalyptus viminalis wet forest : a threatened native vegetation community listed under the Tasmanian Nature Conservation Act 2002 and is to be listed on the EPBC Act in the coming months.

Meet Fraser : a 250 year old Eucalyptus viminalis: Full of hollows and homes, he is one of many big trees that sit perilously close to the proposed Easement. The Loongana forests support wedge-tailed eagles, tasmanian devils, spotted-tailed quolls, eastern quolls, platypus, grey goshawks, giant freshwater crayfish and masked owls.

Tasnetworks will clear an easement 60-90m wide, drying out these wet forests, introducing weeds into the waterways and impacting already threatened wildlife.
